WOW! What a story!
Whispers of Power had me enthralled from the first page! This is the first book I’ve read by Rory Miles and now I can’t wait to read more!
The world building at Diremount University and all the sub characters were just incredible. Raina comes from a troubled upbringing and believes she can’t reach her magic. No matter how hard she tries she can’t feel it. She’s hoping that by going to Diremount University someone can help her and also help her find her missing twin sister.
Truths are revealed in this book that I never saw coming and the plot twists! Oh man! They were amazing!
I loved how the members of the most powerful group at the university all had different abilities and affinities. Two are mages, one a shifter, one a vampire. And they all are drawn to Raina. They all slowly crack her immense defenses one by one.
Yes, some parts of this book were a smidge predictable but it was still so enjoyable! The twists, the conflict, it all made it an amazing book from start to finish.
I need book 2 to come out like NOW! I can’t wait to read what happens next.
