Still reeling from Lainey’s death, Noah has returned to raise Bella and this is where the fun begins. When he meets Teagan and Will, he sees in them the love and friendship that they both have for Bella and when Teagan comes to his rescue with dinner on night one, he realises just how out of his depth and for a Navy Seal that is not acceptable. He has no idea how to raise a 5 year old, let alone one who is so gifted. Even though he has researched parenting blogs, reality still crashes in and he wonders if he can do this.
Teagan is wary of Noah’s abilities to care for Bella so their initial meeting is stilted. Despite themselves Noah and Teagan are attracted to each other. Will they act on the mutual chemistry which seems to sizzle when they are together, or will they deny the obvious?
The interaction between Noah and Bella touched my heart as well as the beautiful friendship that Bella has with Will which was absolutely heart warming.
This was an emotional read, bringing me to tears on occasion. The pain at coming to terms with both his and Bella’s loss of Lainey was palpable.
Well written, this is a story that will draw you in and keep you glued until the end.
