It's finally here, Bridger Payne has intrigued me since I first met him in book one of The Wicked Horse Series. 

Every book has given us a bit more into how this man thinks but Sawyer Bennett certainly left out enough about this man to make this book a fantastic read.

Bridger is the secretive, mysterious owner of the The Wicked Horse and The Silo Club, he is the man that will get his friends what ever they want when they fancy some kink with their ladies, but he also is the guy that will help anyone who is in trouble and when Maggie is dumped at his house after being tortured Bridger does what he does best he pulled in some favours and got her cleaned up and got her medical treatment, then provided her with a safe house. Bridger is not into relationships but Maggie had him feeling things he didn't want to feel, she made him feel scared and there was no going back once he had her in his bed, but would he be able to put the past behnd him and move on with Maggie.
Sawyer Bennett has given us perfection, she has written the perfect end to a perfect series. The epilogue made me an emotional mess but it needed to be told. So sad that this series has come to a end but it's a series I will read over and over.

What can I tell you about the man that is Bridger Payne?!

This book is without doubt an incredible read that will have you hot, falling in love with a man like Bridger

When an injured woman is brought to Bridger, he needs to decide what to do in relation to things going on in her life! There is tension a whole bunch of secrets as well as suspense!

I felt really sorry for Maggie. What she endured, how she feels and the strength that is within her to overcome certain things, makes me admire her!

But Bridger is worried that his past will hinder everything or maybe it's that two damaged people can heal each other!

I loved the direction of the story, I loved seeing the girls again as well as Woolf, Cain and Logan! There may also be a cameo!!

I really loved this book and Bridgers story will surprise you! Delving into his feelings, we see a side of him that I was desperately wanting to know!

Wonder what Sawyer will come up with next! I'm Anxious to find out!

This is book 5 and sadly the last in the exciting Wicked Horse series and this book is my favourite of them all. This series is one of my all-time favourites and I highly recommend it.

I, like many who have read the previous books in the series, waited impatiently for Bridger Payne’s book to arrive. I wasn’t disappointed Sawyer Bennett has left the best to the last in my humble opinion. I have loved Bridger from the very first book in the series and as each book was released, we learned a little more about the mysterious loner that is Bridger Payne; although it wasn’t until the end of the previous book that we were given an indication of the trauma and abuse he has survived.

Bridger is the owner of The Wicked Horse and the sex club, The Silo. After systematically watching his friends find “the one” Bridger is virtually running the clubs on his own.

When Kyle, an acquaintance knocks on his door in the middle of the night, Bridger opens his door and in doing so unknowingly changes the course of his life; Kyle is carrying what appears to be an unconscious woman who has been bashed and tortured. After a somewhat heated discussion, Bridger agrees to keep the unconscious and badly beaten woman, Magdalene “Maggie” Waylon, safe and hidden until Kyle (who is certainly not who he appears to be) brings about the downfall of the Mayhem Mission MC club and its club president Zeke.

Bridger calls in favours from friends and clients of The Silo in his quest to not only get Maggie treatment for her injuries but also to keep her safe. From almost the start, Bridger and Maggie are attracted to each other but both have suffered greatly in their lives, can they get over their pasts to create a future? Or will Zeke ruin it all as he seeks to find Maggie and his “property”?

Ms. Bennett has written a truly riveting story, not only is the story sexy and dirty, but the emotional roller-coaster of  Bridger and Maggie’s past and present blends together seamlessly to ensure that you will be invested in Wicked Bond from start to finish.

Bridger oozes sex appeal, dominance and control; a real alpha male, one I would most certainly love to meet and explore with and yet there is a vulnerability to him that tugs at my heart.  Maggie is my heroine, what a feisty, brave and determined woman she is and one who is entirely worthy of Bridger’s love.

I loved this book. The heat and emotions are intense and don’t be surprised if you get burnt as you read. The sex is absolutely scorching and the love story breathtaking; beautifully written and at times heart breaking.

This was a new author to me and the premise sounded interesting and intriguing as it is set in Roxanne St. Claire's Barefoot Bay Kindle World; however it can be read as a standalone.

I have not read either of these authors and I have only just recently discovered the Barefoot Bay Kindle World; having said that I was easily able to read this book without any problems.  

Blake “Dex” Dexter is an undercover cop, deeply immersed in his cover, so much so that he can no longer separate what is truth and what is fiction. When he is forced to take some time away from his assignment (by his boss who fears he is in imminent danger of burning out) he heads begrudgingly to Barefoot Bay to attend his mother’s wedding.

His disposition changes when he meets Amelia Barton, a baker from Alaska, escaping the memories of a cheating her ex-fiancée, a job she dislikes and determined to make her escape so decides to take her planned honeymoon on her own, also in Barefoot Bay.

Trouble follows Dex when his cover is blown and the drug cartel he infiltrated is out for revenge putting not only him but Amelia in the path of extreme danger.

Will Dex save Amelia by backing away; or will he take a chance on love and dive in?  

Dangerously Sweet is a quick read, full of suspense, danger, humour and streamy interludes, well written and a book I thoroughly enjoyed. I will certainly be looking to read more from Angela Evans.

This is a new author to me but I loved the other Barefoot Bay Kindle World book I read so this really was always going to be on TBR, after all was not to love about a place where" You don't need shoes. This is Barefoot Bay"

Amelia is stuck in a ruck working in the kitchen of her families lodge in Alaska and when she finds out her fiancé is cheating on her she has the perfect excuse to take off to Barefoot Bay to clear her head and work out what she wants to do with her life.

Dex is an undercover cop who has been undercover for too long so when his boss forces him to take a vacation he heads to Barefoot Bay where his mum is getting married.

There is no doubting this couple have chemistry but what I loved was how this author makes you feel, it's like you know the resort you can smell the sea and feel the breeze. I will be looking for more from Angela Evans and The Barefoot Bay Kindle World Series.

As a child, Angela remembers her mother telling friends that Angela would read anything she could get her hands on, even the back of the cereal box. That changed when she discovered romance novels as a teenager, secretly reading her mother’s entire collection of Kathleen E. Woodiwiss and being amazed at how captivating the stories were. I don't know where to start really! I am a huge fan of this author and although the beginning was a little slow, as I read on I really started to enjoy it and not want to stop reading. This book had drama, suspense, heat and some tension that came off the pages!! As with this authors previous books, you don't want to miss out on the suspense that will have you gripping something to hold onto to keep you reading! It certainly kept me on my toes! What happens when Jake becomes Camille's bodyguard??? All is not what it seems and the way these two develop is interesting and sometimes trying.

Read it for yourself to find out what transpires.

Another brilliant read from JEM and yet another perfect man who's name starts with the letter J.
A few firsts this time around we get the first ever standalone and the first dual POV from this author.
Jake stole my heart and I found myself second guessing throughout the book but I never guessed how this book was going to end!
I have to admit I struggled with Camille, it took some time and a few chapters for me to get to like her but I'm guessing that's how this story was meant to be.
As always the characters are strong and the chemistry is full of heat. This book is full of drama and secrets but it's also funny in parts and if you have read other books by JEM you will understand what I mean when I say it feels like it's been written from the heart.
For me the pace of this story was perfect and Jake is the perfect man what more is left to say apart from I loved it.

I have been looking forward to reading this new book by Ms. Malpas ever since she announced it.

Firstly, you cannot go into reading this book thinking that it will be similar in style to her previous series. This is nothing like it and is in fact a stand-alone. The Protector is a departure from her normal writing style in that it is told in dual POV’s.

Both of the main characters backgrounds and their thoughts are divulged to a greater degree than previous characters which assists the reader in understanding how they have both gotten to their current positions in life.

As with previous books by Ms. Malpas I found this one to be well written and interesting. The characters were well rounded and I found myself at times laughing at the banter between Jake Sharp and Camille Logan.

Jake is a bad boy, ex-military and a man not to be taken lightly; add in a pairing with misunderstood Camille and there are sure to be fireworks. When Camille’s life is put in danger, Jake is hired to be her bodyguard, a job if he is honest he doesn’t really want.

However he soon falls for the beauty of Camille, there is so much more to her than just her outward beauty and here is where Jodi Ellen Malpas weaves her magic. I have to say I really liked both Jake and Camille and I really wanted them to get their happily ever after.

What happens when their pasts come back to haunt them tough? Can they escape the past and make a future together?  

I enjoyed the storyline although at times I felt that it dragged out more than was required, however having said that the ending was absolutely spot on.

I look forward to reading more from Jodi Ellen Malpas in the not too distant future.

Wow!!!! This book was even better than the first. The story-line is absolutely riveting; I couldn’t put the book down. I stayed up till 3am to read it in one go. Not a clever thing to do when I get up for work at 5:30am. I just needed to know what happened next and the cliff-hangar, jaw dropping. The good news is we don’t have to wait too long for the conclusion, Sugar Free, thankfully.

Just when I thought I had figured out where Ms. Bennett was heading, she threw in yet another curve ball.

When Beck North turned his back on Sela Halstead, a young woman who barely survived a terrible ordeal, I was devastated but could understand; after all she was accusing a man who had been his lifelong friend.

Once Beck has a chance to think things through, he realises he has misjudged and condemned the wrong person. I was frustrated with the speed of which Sela forgave Beck; to me it was just a tad too fast.  

Beck is determined and will stop at nothing to ensure Sela receives the justice she deserves.

This was a gripping storyline from start to finish and with previous books I have read by Ms. Bennett I found this one to be extremely well written.

Book 2 in the Sugar Bowl Series and it picks up right where Sugar Daddy left us. We have yet another fantastic read full of love, suspense and vengeance.
Beckett and Sela have had a massive falling out after he found her snooping in his office and when she told him she was raped by his business partner JT he was sure she was lying. Once he has time to think everything over he realises he needs to talk to Sela to make her understand he does believe her and he will do what ever is needed to bring JT down. Together they can be strong together they can win....
And just when you think love has won and all will be ok another cliffy hits you square on the jaw

Sugar Rush gives you a big RUSH. OMG!!! I literally don’t know how to overcome this book. I need the next one STAT…that is how good it was.

You should have read the first book before reading this one. This book will blow your socks off, or panties…lol

Oh Sela, I really feel for her, I just want to give her a hug and say things will get better but if she has Beck in her corner, things will surely get better right??? Oh I don’t know, I really don’t know. The ending of Sugar Daddy gave me heart palpitations but this one gave me so much more feels.

I’m kind of reeling at how JT is. I feel incredibly bad for Becks sister Caroline. Plus we learn certain things that will have you shocked.

So much about this story, the words, the sizzling tension coming off the pages make you NOT want to put it down ever.

I really love Beck. I so do. I think when it all comes down to it, he is a very caring man that will do absolutely anything for those he loves.

Brilliant and gripping as ever…. I NEED SUGAR FREE NOW, not in months I NEED IT RIGHT NOW!!

Read it, devour it and put it at the top of your TBR list!!

Her shoulders straightened. “He wanted the easy solution. A get-rich-quick scheme. He wasn’t that way at first. At one point he was very intellectual. It’s what attracted me to him. He was curious about the world and liked to discuss everything from politics to social jus- tice to movies we saw. He changed. I didn’t. In some ways, I blame getting involved with me for what happened to him. He got around my father and real wealth and wanted some of his own. When I met him, he wanted to be a professor. He wanted to teach.” At least he’d gotten her this far. She was talking. Now he needed to get those shoulders down from around her earlobes. For one moment, for that moment when he’d drawn her into his arms and pressed his mouth to hers, she’d relaxed against him, given over to him. Her body had softened and she’d leaned into him, and if he’d pressed her, he didn’t know what would have happened. She might have continued kissing him, forgetting all about the other people in the room. He could have cupped her breast, her ass. Put his hands anywhere he liked. She hadn’t given a damn that they hadn’t been alone. All she’d cared about was him.      

 

I have read and loved all in the Masters & Mercenaries series by Lexi Blake and when I heard that she had a new series coming out I eagerly jumped at the chance to read and review it. I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed and Ruthless is the start of another fantastic series.

The Lawless brothers Riley, Drew, Brandon, and their sister Mia, are bound and determined to seek revenge on those they hold responsible for their parents’ murders 20 years ago.

Separated after their parent’s death and out into the foster care system, the siblings fought to regain control of their lives whilst actively seeking revenge. Their lives were not easy and it is from this that they draw their strength and their commitment to seek justice for their parents.

Ellie Stratton is the daughter of one of the men responsible and it is through her they intend to start their plans of revenge. Riley is the brother tasked with getting close to her, although he doesn’t count on his almost instant attraction to her.

Riley struggles with his feelings for Ellie as he works both against Ellie and with her as her new lawyer, so much so that he becomes uncertain if he can go through with the plans that they have made to bring her down.  

When Ellie’s life is threatened, she is shocked to find out that Riley is determined to seek revenge for his parents and this in turns threatens the relationship that is building between them. Will he risk the love that has formed to seek the revenge that has been planned for most of his life? Or will he let the past go for the woman who has come to mean so much to him?

The chemistry between Riley and Ellie was sizzling. I loved how Riley gave Ellie the confidence that had been trampled in her previous marriage. There was mystery, intrigue, suspense, hot alpha men and as you can expect from most books from Ms. Blake some moments of humour.

I love Lexi Blake’s writing style; no one does romantic suspense like she does. Riley and Ellie are meant to be together; two halves of a whole.

Ruthless is one of those books that in many parts, you read and go, wait, no, did that really happen? I am eagerly anticipating the other books in the series. I believe Brandon is next and then Drew and I am excited for their stories. You also get a glimpse of some of the M & M characters as Mia is now married to Case Taggart.

This is my first book by Lexi Blake, and I will definitely be adding her to my list of recommended authors.  This book was an enjoyable read.

Both main characters were very interesting characters.  The author gave them identities outside of the relationship while they developed their relationship.  The story line around their relationship kept my attention.

The storyline was believable and kept you reading.  Ms. Blake was able to portray a believable romance, where one was in the relationship under false pretenses, but then had a change of heart.  The forgiveness of the other had you by the heart and experiencing all the same emotions in the book.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I will leave it with this….  I enjoyed the book, the characters and storyline was believable.  I was able to empathize and feel the same emotions along with the characters in the book.  It was written well, flowed nicely and was pure enjoyment.  I definitely recommend this book.

This novel is a rocket and a roller coaster all in one. Riley Lawless, an attorney is out for revenge and justice for the brutal murder of his parents.  (First off - what an awesome name for an attorney?!  Riley and his siblings have been plotting for years and even built entire careers around it.  This begins with Ellie Stratton.  Ellie is the daughter of one of the men who murdered Riley's parents.  Almost with every breath Ellie takes Riley by surprise.  And this plot is full of twists, turns and secrets with every chapter. Nothing better than corporate America wrapped into a love story that is full of chemistry.

This novel is all about falling in love with the wrong person.  The novel is full of romance, suspense and mystery.  This is a wonderful start to a new series.  I am completely addicted to all of the siblings in this novel and I cant wait to see what Lexi Blake does with the Lawless family.
