Masey breathes the question like she’s not sure whether to believe me. I do my best to give her a reassuring smile when what I really want is to strip her bare, kiss her breathless, then rake my lips all over her body and focus on the parts that will make her sigh and moan and ultimately scream.

“Yeah.”

“You won’t feel criticized?”

“Positive.”

“All right. I will.”

“Good. Last chance.”

“To back out?” She shakes her head. “No. I-I want this.”

“This?” I know what she’s getting at. I have every intention of being the most accommodating lover she’s ever imagined. But I’m going to be an absolute bastard about one thing: she can’t just want sex. I’ve hardly touched her and I already know that’s not enough for me anymore.

Trace and Masey are only supposed to be together for a one night fling but right from the beginning they have easy banter and growing chemistry that neither of them can deny. Circumstances have thrown them together for more than just the one night and if they can both overcome their past heartaches and open their hearts, they have a chance a something wonderful.

I haven’t read many books by this author so I was a bit hesitant to jump into book 6 in the series but I still really enjoyed More Than Dare and not having read the previous books took nothing away from this steamy romance .
Single dad Trace Weston is not looking for love or a relationship but one night with no strings attached with Masey Garrett is just what the doctor ordered problem is one night with the sassy, feisty, stunning Masey was never going to be enough...
Both Trace and Masey have issues that need to worked through before they can build a future....
If you are looking for a smoking hot, entertaining read look no further than this book, it’s well written, it has characters who share an intense chemistry , some witty banter and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Brea trailed the hostess through the dim restaurant. Pierce dropped his hot palm on the small of her back all the way to a booth in one dark corner. She sat and slid in on one side. Instead of sitting on the other, he plopped next to her, nudging her almost against the wall, his big body pressed against hers from shoulder to knee. But Brea is full of her own surprises when Pierce’s life is on the line.

Wicked as Sin is the perfect combination of suspense and intrigue, memorable characters and steamy moments!
Brea and Pierce (One-Mile) have that perfect hot chemistry flowing between them even though there are a few episodes of miscommunication and there have definitely been a few misunderstandings, the biggest being the assumption by Pierce that Brea is already in a relationship with one of his teammates. These two are so very different and on paper they would never work but opposites attract and that is definitely the case for these two. Pierce is an alpha warrior and has seen the bad side of humanity but he is also a protector. Brea is a sweet preachers daughter and has experienced mostly the good side of what life has to offer. He has wanted Brea from the moment he laid eyes on her. He just has to convince her that what she feels happening between them is definitely something that they need to pursue.
But, hang on because this book ends in a cliffhanger and I am so excited to see where the next part of this story takes us!

“Can one of you keep an eye on Beth? She’s getting hit on a lot, which I told her to expect. But one creepy guy who was here last night is here again today. He seems awfully determined.” “The one in the loud Hawaiian shirt with the matching personality?” my buddy asks. “That one. He parked his ass in her station as soon as we opened. He’s been messing with her ever since.” “I’ll take care of it,” I chime in. First, when I bartended on the side in the past, I saw a lot of the girls struggle with dirtbags who refused to understand that no means no. Second, coming to her rescue will be a great way to meet Bethany and start gaining her trust. I refuse to think about how excited my libido is to spend time with her. “Thanks, Clint.” With that, Andy dismisses us. Ash and I file down the hall. My buddy laughs. “You in the role of Bethany’s protector. Oh, the irony…” “Hey, I’m not out to hurt her. I just want justice. I’m going to have to ask you to keep your hands to yourself or leave.” “Do you have your head so far up her twat that you don’t see she’s a fucking bitch?” The guy scoffs and rolls his eyes. “Yeah, and you deserve everything you get when she chews you up and spits you out.” With that, the asshole tosses down some money and starts to walk away. I’m furious. In part because he accused me of wanting her when I do. But mostly I’m pissed on Bethany’s behalf. “That was uncalled for. You’re not welcome back here unless you apologize to her.” He grits his teeth, upper lip curling up with contempt as he turns to Bethany. “Fine. A thousand apologies.” The douche doesn’t mean a word of that, and I want to pound his face. No, I’m not looking to become Bethany’s knight in shining armor. But this kind of guy always grates on my nerves because he thinks he can treat all women like trash, and the only thing that matters less than them are their feelings. I hate pricks like him. Unfortunately, I can’t do anything else right now without ramping up the incident, instigating a fight…and probably getting fired. Instead, once he leaves, I turn to Bethany. I’m pissed all over again when I see she’s gone tense, as if she’s trying to hold herself together, and sporting a big red handprint around her small wrist. “You okay?” She nods. It’s shaky at first, then she drags in a steadying breath. “Yeah. He might be the first to think he can demand something more than a drink. But like Andy said, he won’t be the last. I’ll get used to it. Thanks for stepping in. I’m Beth.” When she holds out her hand, I have to admit I’m impressed by her backbone. I’ve seen new waitresses shrink, cry, and ultimately quit when confronted with a customer that vile. Bethany simply picked herself up and now looks determined to carry on. “You’re welcome. I’m Clint. More Than Tempt You is book number five in Shayla Blacks More Than Words series and this story is my favorite! She always manages to put together a book filled with memorable characters and interesting storylines. 

Never judge a book by its cover or a girl by her father! 
While trying to seek revenge for his fathers sudden investment fallout and death, Clint finds out that there is so much more to Bethany than he first suspected. She is kind and thoughtful, not the deceitful, money stealing woman he initially assumed and to top it all off, he is attracted to her. Now, he has to figure out what she did or didn’t know about the stolen money and what to do about his feelings towards her without losing her in the end. 

The fifth book in the series and this one is just as good as the first four books. This is Clint Holmes and Bethany (Beth) Banks’ story.

What an emotional roller coaster More Than Tempt You was, with a plenty of highs and lows  that will keep you captivated from the first to the last chapter.

Determined to seek revenge on the woman who has caused so much pain to his family, Clint tracks her down in Hawaii. Imagine his shock when she is not at all what he was expecting. Instead he finds a woman who is vulnerable and not at all the corporate shark he expected.
