When Deacon Starkis sets his sights on the gorgeous young model gracing the pages of his glossy catalogue, he knows he has to have her. One problem. She’s not available. But that won’t stop Deacon. He’s a man used to getting what he wants and he wants Mia.

Mia is stunned when she receives an email from the elusive billionaire who owns the lingerie company she models for. He tells her he’s intrigued. He’s not the only one. But she knows she’d be a fool to throw away an eight year relationship for a brief affair with the head honcho. He doesn’t do relationships and she doesn’t do casual sex. It seems they’re at an impasse.

Who will come out on top in this battle of wills? The dominant one or the woman intent on teaching him the meaning of submission?

I was given this ARC for a honest review
This is the first book I have read by Cheryl Douglas and I'm so glad I was given the chance as I really didn't want this book to end.
Deacon Stark is has set his sights on Mia a model that is featured in the catalogue he owns and what Deacon wants he normally gets.....
Mia has been in a relationship for eight years but is intrigued when she receives a email from Deacon the problem is Deacon doesn't do relationships and Mia doesn't do one night stands.
Will Mia risk her relationship of eight years.......
Will Deacon want more than a fling .......
This book gives you so much, Love, Feelings and shows us what people will do and how they will change when they find the one for them.
Amazing book that left me wanting more

I got rather engrossed with this book! I loved the characters! Deacon was a man on a mission to get Mia's attention! The lengths he went to, his words, the way he desired her, was like nothing I have read before!
I loved the way Mia seemed drawn to him yet held herself back, showed strength in her character! I loved her best friend, their funny chats, it was rather hilarious! The innuendos, the stalking, the whole book drew me in and the hotness is also really smoking hot!
I must admit this book kind of had me daydreaming a bit....you know wondering how these things could actually happen in real life! That's the beauty of books they give you an insight to a fantasy, escape from reality and I love that fact! I love the way Deacons family is introduced to Mia and how she reacts! I really cannot wait for the next book!! I honestly think this series will be one to watch!

I received this book for an honest review.
This was a new author to me and let me say I am so glad that I was asked by the blog to read and review Cheryl Douglas’ Deacon.
What do you get when a dominant, self-confident, extremely arrogant (to the point of rudeness on occasion), billionaire business and totally alpha Greek male and an extremely stunning, somewhat naïve, lingerie and swimwear model cross paths? An explosive, sexy tale of romance with more ups and downs than a roller coaster.
Deacon Starkis has fallen for his model Mia Barnes and is determined to have her. No matter the cost. She is “the one”. All he has to do is convince her of this and for a man who always gets his own way that will not be a problem, or will it? Mia is not a weak minded woman. Her strength of character in holding Deacon accountable for his actions on occasion was very remarkable. She did not fear standing up to him and I admire her for that.
Initially I disliked Deacon but as I read further into the story I began to see his insecurities, his vulnerability, and his fears that Mia would leave him and soon overcame my dislike. The fact that he was smoking hot, talked dirty and essentially dominated and knocked down every obstacle in his path in his pursuit of Mia had a lot to do with that. Frankly speaking I wanted to be Mia.
Mia brings out emotions in Deacon that he fears. He lives, loves and plays hard. I don’t think he expected Mia to enjoy how hard he plays but by the sizzling chemistry between them, she most assuredly did. Mia also spent a great deal of time antagonizing and bringing out Deacon’s inner beast. It was obvious that there was more to Deacon than what he showed to those around him and since I have no intention of writing any spoilers I will not venture further down this path.
Mia’s best friend Eleni and Deacon’s best friend and business partner Blake (and the conversations they had with them) left me laughing so hard at times. Particularly Eleni, I just want to meet her. What a great character!
This book has it all and is extremely well written. The diversity of the emotions that it evoked in me as I read Deacon ensures that I will be back for more in the Starkis Family series. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.
I am looking forward to the next book in the Starkis Family series and commend Cheryl Douglas on an excellent read.

When one door closes, another one opens. I closed the door to my business for the last time in 2011, which left me with a decision. What now? Find another location and move my nutrition business, go to work for someone else, or take a chance on my dream? I chose the latter and I’ve never looked back!

I’ve always loved reading and writing, but it wasn’t until I jumped in with both feet and decided writing would be my career, instead of just a hobby, that my muse woke up from her deep slumber. It was like someone flipped a switch inside my head and stories just came pouring out. At the end of the day, I would often look at the keyboard and wonder, ‘Who the heck wrote that? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure it wasn’t me!’

I don’t write books. I tell stories, or rather, I allow my characters to tell their stories through me. I’m not a plotter, never have been, never will be. Why? Because I have no idea how the story will evolve and it’s not my place to manipulate it. My job is to get to know these characters, figure out what makes them tick, then follow their journey wherever it takes me.

When I’m not writing, I’m daydreaming. Thankfully, I have an understanding husband and son who know I’ll re-join the land of the living just as soon as my muse decides it’s quitting time. I don’t work for myself. I work for her. She’s the boss. And I’m okay with that.
