I was Given this book for a honest review
This is the second book in The Good Ol' Boys Series but it can be read as a standalone.
Its all about forbidden love what happens when you fall in love with your best friends baby sister, the other problems she has fallen for you to .....
Jacob is seven years older then Lily or Kid as he calls her and he has protected her since the day she was born but he knows she is Off Limits her brother Lucas would kill him, so he avoids her at all costs.....
Lily's Mum gets sick with cancer and she needs a rock to cling to and Jacob is that rock but in the end he knows he has to leave and once again he breaks Kid's heart......
Jacob comes back into her life years later but will she let him in and will she forgive him. Will Lucas understand Lily has grown up and is not the baby anymore......
This is a tender love story that will have you reeling with emotion. There are ups and downs, twists and turns, does he love her enough, can she forgive him or will her heart be broken yet again.....

Oh, I liked this story. Have you ever wanted to feel like someone was always watching out for you, to catch you when you feel, to wipe away tears and to leave the light on when you are scared? Lillian is the baby sister, by 7 years, to Lucas, who is a member of a group of boys who have been friends forever. Jacob is one of the boys. Going up, Jacob has always felt very protective of Lillian. Lillian always knew that she could count on Jacob. That is until they started growing up, and realizing the depth of their feelings. This is the story of trying to hide those feeling and doing what you think is best for the other person without their asking them. This is a story of forgiveness and permission, letting go and holding on.
I enjoyed this novel a lot. I loved the way the author captures the story line. The mixture of the past and the present was done very well. I especially enjoyed was how the story didn’t just focus on Jacob and Lillian. It was great to see how Lillian and Jacob affected the people around them and they affected Lillian and Jacob. I felt that the characters acted in manners that were age appropriate in the decisions that were made. Jacob has some hot alpha tendencies that help to drive the chemistry between him and Lillian. This is a stand-alone novel but is part of a series. I really cannot wait to read the next story.
I took a moment when I was fully inside of her, leaning back
to take a good look at her, wanting to remember her just this way, always. Her
long silky brown hair spread all over my sheets, the way her cheeks were
slightly flushed and how the blush crept down to her neck, how her lips were
swollen from my touch and her serene eyes glazed over.
