Stuart Knight is a wounded Marine turned Sexy Cowboy. Mariska Heron is the gypsy girl who stole his heart. Now they’re fighting for their Happily Ever After…
Life is never simple.
Even perfect couples face storms.
The question is whether our love is strong enough to survive.
I believe it is.
She told me to leave.
If I leave, I take her with me.

One to Take is book 8 in the One to Hold series and is the continuation of Stuart and Mariska’s story.
The majority of this story takes place in Montana when Stuart goes back to help his uncle on his ranch. It a place of healing for Stuart, the only place he feels is truly home. What happens though, when a placer of healing becomes a reminder of pain and loss?
Stuart and Mariska both need to look deeply into their souls and decide if the love that they have for each other is worth the challenges that life has thrown them. Will it survive and at what cost?
These two are meant to be together, pulling each other out of the darkness and into the light. But what happens when tragedy strikes and Mariska cannot fight the despair and pain. Will Stuart’s love be enough to bring her into the light and start believing not only in herself but in their love for each other again?
This was a particularly emotional read for me. One To Take does have some heartbreaking moments, which in my case brought up some extremely personal and devastating memories for me. However, Ms. Louise handled it exceptionally well and I was able to finish the book although I did have to take a break for a couple of days. I won’t say more as this is pivotal to the book.
The characters in all of Tia Louise’s books seem so real. They feel like family and I love reading a new book to see what has been happening, as she usually touches on a couple of the other members of this wonderful group of family and friends.
Tia Louise layers her characters so well and none of them are perfect. They have flaws like we all do and yet she makes them feel so real. I freely admit this book made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me smile and I cheered for Stuart and Mariska to get their happily ever after.
Although the books can be read as stand-alone I highly recommend that you read from the beginning as I believe it is a benefit if you read them in order.
I love this series and I am eagerly anticipating the next release.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 Star Review
Book 8 in the One to Hold series and it can be read as a standalone but I think you would get move out of it if you have read the previous books.
This is the continuation of Stuart and Mariska's story. This couple have had their fair share of problems and they deserve to be happy but they still have some troubles and emotions to work through before they get their HEA.
Stuart is not one to ask for help, he finds it hard to express himself and he spends a lot of times going over things in his own head.
Mariska is a free spirit who follows her instincts and she has found true love with Stuart but will love be enough.......
This book is a emotional roller coaster and I felt everyone of the high's and the low's. Its a story of love, tragedy, lust and families, it made smile and it made me cry. I found myself falling in love with these characters all over again. I love the writing style of Tia Louise and to me it was always going to be a must read book.

Tia Louise is the Award-Winning, International Bestselling author of the ONE TO HOLD series.
From "Readers' Choice" nominations, to picking up USA Today "Happily Ever After" nods, to winning "Favorite Erotica Author" (2015) and the "Lady Boner Award" (2014) (LOL!), nothing makes her happier than communicating with fans and weaving new tales into the Alexander-Knight world of stories.
A former journalist, Louise lives in the center of the USA with her lovely family and one grumpy cat. There, she dreams up stories she hopes are engaging, hot, and sexy, and that cause readers rethink common public locations...
