Amazon Review Tour for Dick by R.C. Stephens

Title: Dick: A Bad Boys Novel
Author: R.C. Stephens
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 25, 2016
My name is Dixon Crawford—my friends call me Dick. I’m rich, divorced and I have two small kids. When it comes to women, I like to play the field. I don’t want to ever be tied down again. I met Eden at a Presidential gala and, yes, I was intrigued. When school started in September I was shocked to learn Eden was my son’s kindergarten teacher… I’d slept around with the lonely rich mothers at the school and had earned a reputation. A reputation Eden knew about… Eden was on the untouchable list—the band on her finger screamed, “I'm taken.” But when she got into trouble with her husband she asked me for help and I obliged. I soon discovered that innocent Eden had secrets of her own. I also discovered she was beyond tempting. Giving her a little friendly help turns into something bigger than I ever imagined…. My name is Dick. I'm told I'm an asshole, but you will need to read my story and decide for yourself!

4.5 Star Review
R.C. Stephens is a new author to me and I have to say I wish I had found her earlier.
Dixon Crawford or Dick as his friends call him, is a player not looking for a relationship, after all he had done that once and it didn't work out, the only great thing to come out of his marriage was his 2 kids who he adores.
Eden is in a marriage that isn't working for her and her son, but she knows her husband will never let her go, so she sees an attorney and she tries to flee before her husband is served the papers.
Eden is Dixon's son's teacher so she is off limits, so what harm is there in helping her out.......
Eden and Dixon don't have an easy road ahead, will they survive? The kids have some great lines that will make you smile and giggle. All in all a great balance of love, romance, trust, hot sex and humor.
This is a well written book told in both POV

4 stars

I’m new to the work of R.C. Stephens, and I was intrigued by the title and description of this book.   She is very adept at weaving the backstory into the current storyline, taking two independent backstories and weaving them together.
Both characters suffered abandonment in their childhood, and still struggle with the demons from this.  Dick has suffered so much, that he has built walls of steel around his heart.  Eden, thinking she had finally been “rescued” only finds herself being abandoned by her husband while inside her marriage.
Dick, refusing to let any woman into his heart again, has developed a man-whore status that is bordering on legendary at his children’s school.  The only bright things in his life that he truly cares about is his Ma, his brother, and his two children….  Until he meets Eden.

Eden's husband feels he “rescued” her, and because of this he feels he owns her.  Sadly, he is not the husband or father for their son Eden hoped he'd be.
A chance encounter at the Presidential gala, and neither Eden nor Dick can forget the other. He learns that Eden is his son’s teacher, and as such, he decides she’s off limits.  But fate has another ending planned for these two.  The road is more than bumpy for both Dick and Eden, but the end result may be more than either could have wished for.  Can they survive the bumps, twists and turns that this love story has in store for them?   Get the book and find out for yourself.  This is a good read.

R.C. Stephens was born in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from York University with a Master's Degree in Political Science.

Her debut Novel Bitter Sweet Love is book one of the Twisted Series. Followed by Twisted Love to be released May 31st 2015.

R.C. is an avid reader, so when she isn't cooking for her clan or on her laptop writing, she's snuggled tight with her Kindle devouring any romance novel she can. Okay, with the exception of Thursday nights. She makes time for Scandal and Vampire Diaries. She's a fan of drama and suspense but she's also a sucker for a happy ending.

Her husband was her first teenage love. They live together with their three children in Toronto. Loving Canadian winters she could never think of living anywhere else.
