Things in Whynot, NC have gone to the dogs, and that’s just the way the town’s only veterinarian, Laken Mancinkus, likes it. No matter if she’s up when the rooster crows, or working until the cows come home, Laken never leaves an animal in need. So when a gorgeous Yankee comes begging for help herding some wily goats, Laken is up to the task.
Jake McDaniel is looking for a tax break, and what better way than to take up…farming? This ex-football player turned businessman turned unwitting goat farmer is up to his knees in goat drama. Runaway goats, dehydrated goats, and a baby goat that wants no one other than him, Jake needs more help than he cares to admit. Good thing the sexy veterinarian is right there to coach him on how to be a farmer. The only problem is, Laken’s not looking for anything more than a good time, while Jake is looking for his forever girl.
Will the baby goat, and Laken, be enough to get Jake to stay? Or will he take his tax break and hoof it back to Chicago? One thing is for certain…what happens on the farm doesn’t always stay on the farm.

This was the most wonderful story and my absolute favourite of the series!!
Laken Mancinkus The Whynots town veterinarian and is a bit of a casual hook up type woman and doesn't take crap from anyone. She calls things as she sees them and loves her family, especially her Pap!
The author has written a story so entertaining I laughed out loud so often!
Jake bought a farm in whynot but what he doesn't know about farming he soon learns through laken!! Funny goat stories, Laken's dog Hermann and Jake's charm all make this such a great story!
I really thought initially Jake may be trouble but I couldn't be further from the truth! He is a really down to earth caring man! Although his business is in Chicago, his frequent trips to the small town make him realize some things!
Ah I wanted to just keep reading and reading! I loved Laken and Jakes story so much I couldn't help but feel immersed into it and want to find if such a town exists! A loving family community exists in WhyNot and who would want to leave???!!!
A definite must read!
Omg where do I start, I love the town of Whynot and its inhabitants and book 3 in the Sex and Sweet Tea series did not disappoint in fact I would go as far as for me it's the best book yet in this brilliant series.
This is Laken Mancinkus's story who is the local vet in Whynot, she is never going to settle down, she has been burnt before and relationships are not on the cards for her, sharing her life with her large puppy Herman is perfect or so she thought, then Jake arrived in town. Jake is a hot confident funny business man who seems to have it all, he purchases a farm that he plans on running as a tax loss but the problem is one of the resident goats gives birth and the mother wants nothing to do with the kid so Laken teaches him how to bottle feed, well that's when the fun and games really begin, a kid that thinks this hot man is her mother, she won't take a bottle from anyone else....Two people from very different life's, will the pull of the city keep them apart or will Whynot cast a magical spell and make one of them change their lifestyle for the other. A loveable baby goat and a pup (who gets a few chapters in his POV) make this one of the most adorable reads of 2017. The characters as always are strong but it's the laugh out loud moments that really made this story for me. Looking forward to more from the inhabitants of Whynot
