They don’t go to the brick wall.  No one in the village does.  Ever since I was a little girl, everyone has warned me not to go or even to look at it.  And if you happen to find yourself close to the wall, run as fast and as far away as you can.  The magic from the beast creeps beyond the wall, but not by much.

No one who values their life approaches the enchanted area, let alone searches out the gate.  Everyone is sure not to provoke the enchanted area.  Those who do, don’t come back to tell their tales.

FOR THE LAST 19 YEARS OF MY LIFE, I’ve heard the tales and been warned to stay away.  The thing is though, I’m not a very good listener.  I got lost in the magic.  He scented me.  He claimed me with a bite on my neck.  And I ran.  Quickly and with a new terror racing in my heart.

I swore I would never return.  I would not trust the magic and allow it to entrance me again.  I would not risk being caught in the hands of the Beast again.  

But that was months ago and I miss the magic.  Not only that, but I dream of the beast.  It’s not a dream I’d admit to out loud, but it’s a dream I’d like to see come true.

The Beast and the Beauty is a spicy and slightly dark retelling of Beauty and the Beast. 

The Beast resides in a castle that is protected by magic that extends a bit beyond the wall. Anyone who ventures into the castle’s grounds has never returned to the village to tell about it. 

Elle is a villager who has always been intrigued by the tales of the Beast and the castle. When she ventures too close to the wall one day, she’s lulled into the grounds. She can’t believe it when the gates just magically open for her. She also never imagined that she would have an encounter with the Beast and live to tell about it. Except, she can’t tell anyone what happened. 

This book was one VERY spicy retelling and it was definitely unique. I loved that Elle is the one who brings life back to the castle after decades of it just being the Beast. Elle’s character is portrayed as submissive but she’s also brave and smart. The Beast’s character is obviously very dominant but his character development was very well written. He comes a long way in this book. 

I’m definitely intrigued to see where Willow goes next with her books!

I started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read romance novels and I read everything I could get my hands on. I would read a book a day — sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not?

I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. It’s insane to me that I have connected with so many readers.

And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. I’ll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my littles during the day and I write at night. Excerpt:

I don’t dare move, even when Alex rises to his feet and closes the distance between us. He doesn’t touch me, but he could, and that awareness thrums between us like electricity crackling in the air. Air I’ve forgotten to breathe in far too long.

I suck in a startled breath. It would be hard to miss the way Alex’s eyes flicker to my parted lips. But he’s straight, isn’t he? This can’t possibly be happening.

He steps even closer. The crackle is a lightning bolt spitting and sparking before it strikes. Alex raises his hands, lowers them, opens his mouth to speak but says nothing.

Then one single word escapes his lips: “Henry.”

I leap forward without thinking, falling against his mouth. Alex catches me, hands going to my shoulders. Even as he clings to me, Alex kisses me back. This isn’t some light, accidental brush this time, a mistake easily dismissed. His mouth presses hard against mine, and when I gasp for breath Alex tilts his head and goes in deeper. His mouth massages mine, his tongue glancing along my lips. It nearly takes me off my feet, so hungry, so passionate that it’s like a hurricane tearing down the walls to leave me windswept and exposed.

We finally break, both flushed and panting. I cling to my damp towel while Alex clings to me.

“Yeah?” he says.

“Yeah,” I agree. “Yeah.”

I drop the towel and grasp the front of his shirt, tugging him to the couch only a couple steps away. I’m too scared to attempt the longer hike to the bedroom. What if the frenzy fades? What if the distance sobers him up, makes him change his mind? I don’t know what’s happening, but I definitely don’t want it to stop.

I hit the couch hard and drag Alex down with me. One of my legs hangs off the furniture, giving Alex space to lay atop me. His weight presses me into the cushions, and I grab at his shirt, eager to pull him down and feel even more of him on me. The solidity of his body heavy against me is as strong an enticement as his mouth when it finds mine again. My hands sneak around his broad back, fingers curling in his shirt as he kisses me into the couch cushions with a hunger I wouldn’t have dared to expect when I invited him over here. Because seriously, what’s happening right now? I thought he might hate me for kissing him on Saturday, and here he is sucking the breath out of my lungs and licking into my mouth.

And he’s hard.

He shifts, and suddenly I can feel it. I gasp — or I try, anyway. It’s difficult with the voracious way he keeps his mouth against mine. He wants this. He really wants this.

His body’s blunt proclamation inspires a surge of confidence within me. I push at him, flipping us over on the couch before he has time to react. Alex lands on his back and blinks up at me, and the flash of startlement in his dark eyes sends me scrambling.

I shimmy downward to his jeans before he can overthink this, then start undoing the clasps. I glance upward before I pull his pants down. He has one last chance to tell me he’s straight and this is a huge mistake. But there’s no hesitation in his face. He watches me with rapt attention, cheeks and eyes bright, and I don’t delay any longer.

I loved Boyfriend Cafè and now I adore Stray Awakening ( Rainbow Rescue Cafe, #1) 

This journey of Alex and Henry is written beautifully. Alex is summoned to come home to help deal with a family situation, in his life he hasn't been allowed to choose for himself.

 Henry remembers Alex from school, they were in different groups as Henry was gay and Alex was straight. 

Alex is a big-city lawyer who isn't happy in his work, and Henry works in the cat cafè where he is 100% happy. 

When they meet for the first time both worlds collide and Alex knows that perhaps he can choose for himself. 

Henry is wonderful. Adorable characters, finding your true self, bi-awakening, and cats!

With an intriguing plot and well-crafted characters, this book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good romance novel. Soccer player Riot Rivera with his dirty mouth confronts his daughter’s nanny Meadow, showing the true feelings he has for her, They were the words that Meadow had always wanted to hear. Had plenty of spice, and great chemistry between them I found it very drawn out but can only give it 3/5 stars…

 Tempted by Becca Steel. Wow, this novella had me completely hooked! I was captivated by the intriguing dynamic between Ben and Nico. They are two opposites, yet their chemistry is electric. Ben wants everything and anything that Nico will give while Nico is a complete extrovert and alluring. Watching them come together was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to see what happens next in their story! Five stars. 

 Sidelined by Ki Stephens. Lila and Callum have been friends since childhood, but for a few years, they didn't talk much. However, things took a turn during their senior year and it seems like they've ended up where they were always meant to be. It's a pretty cute story with a lot of emotions involved. 4 stars.

 In The Company Of Darkness by Jay Mclean. In this novella, Harlow and Jace's basketball romance was incredibly captivating, pulling me into the story with every turn of the page. The setting of a new neighbourhood adds to the excitement, as Harlow and her family settle into their new home and the boy next door catches her eye, then their story begins. 4 stars.

 Outside Recovery by Maggie Rawson. Aurora never gets to the Altar always running away. Safe with her best friend Gabe she begins to see him differently. Gabe has always hidden his desires from Aurora, things begin to proceed fast! 4 stars.

 Call Me Teach by SJ Sylvus. Hockey Romance — Nolan, who happened to be a teammate of Hannah's brother, overheard a conversation between Hannah and her friends. Nolan and Hannah are meant to be together, with plenty of great banter and sizzling heat. 4 stars.

The lines were definitely blurred between Paul and Brendon!

 The dynamic between Paul and Brendon was challenging and fascinating!

 They needed to communicate which eventually they did, which made a complete difference to their situation. 

They both have back stories that needed to be told which were extremely emotional to read. 

 Angsty, hiding their feelings from each other, a hockey romance where they were absolutely best friends that eventually became lovers.

 Wonderfully written adding intense moments between both guys which I adored as I couldn’t put this book down.

 Easily recommended.
