EXCERPT
“You want more now, and yet you don’t want it enough to make it end. And I already don’t want it to end, Sierra.”
She leans into me, her head resting on my shoulder, emotion that isn’t pleasure radiating off of her and crashing into me. I cup her face and tilt her chin up, my thumb stroking her cheek. “What are you thinking?”
“Nothing. Everything. Can you kiss me again already?”
“Where, Sierra?”
“Where?”
“Where do you want me to kiss you? Tell me.”
“Everywhere.” She pushes to her toes, and her lips find mine, looking for an escape, trying to drive her demons away.
I want to demand her answer, make her tell me where she wants my mouth, but I feel her desperation, her need to escape whatever is in her head. And so, I press my lips to hers, I kiss her mouth, drinking her in, and I don’t taste him this time. I taste her. I taste us. I taste need and hunger and passion. “I want you naked,” I say, my hands sliding inside her jeans and panties. “In every possible way, Sierra.”
“I’m pretty sure I’m already there, and it’s terrifying.” She flattens her hand on my chest. “If you turn into an asshole, I swear—”
“You can punish me,” I promise, “and I’m still willing to offer suggestions.”
“If you turn into an asshole after I trusted you,” she says. “I won’t need suggestions, Mr. Ex-Navy SEAL who won’t be able to hide from my wrath.”

Asher captured my heart from the beginning. He comes across as a controlling, possessive, alpha man, but then counter that with loyalty, friendship and a caring heart, throw in hot, ex-military and tattooed and boom, you have the perfect male specimen. Right from the start Sierra and Asher are a perfect match! She may need his protection but she is one strong, feisty lady and has survived running from a deadly husband. He needed a strong, intelligent partner in his life and as luck would have it, fate put them together!
Pulled Under is Book 2 in the Walker Security series and wow! Lisa Renee Jones definitely delivers one hell of a story.
Sierra is running from her billionaire husband and has been on the run for 9 months just trying to survive. Why is she running? Her psycho husband wants her dead.
She never expected to find herself working in a bar alongside Asher, who just happens to be an ex-SEAL and undercover for a case he’s working on for Walker Security. When Asher realises that Sierra is more than just the new bartender he is bound and determined to find out her secrets.
This book takes you on one hell of a ride! It’s action packed and will have you guessing all the way to the end.
I thoroughly enjoyed it but Sierra’s character got on my nerves a bit with the constant second guessing. This is the only reason why I didn’t give it 5 Stars!
Definitely looking forward to Book 3!
