Synopsis

Get You Some was the first book in the Simple Man series that I've read and it was fantastic! It was easy to read without having read the previous two books.
I love Lani Lynn Vale's writing. Without fail, every single one of her books has me laughing out loud at one point or another and this book didn't disappoint.
June's character is one that will stick with me for sometime due to her past and how her parents have tainted her reputation in town. Still, she's a strong woman who continues to fight for herself and doesn't let life get her down.
Johnny's character just made me swoon. He's a veteran who has been medically discharged and is suffering from PTSD. He comes home and decides he can't stand living under his family's overprotective eyes anymore and moves away to Hostel. He joins the police department there and meets June by pulling her over one day.
I loved how both Johnny and June helped each other overcome their demons. Johnny with his PTSD and fear of hurting people he loves in his sleep and June with not being able to stand any male's touch due to her past.
It's a fantastic book that will keep you turning the pages until the very end! Can't wait for more!
