When Light Leads to You is the first Book I’ve read by C.R. Ellis and i was beautiful!
“When Dean kissed me, I didn’t see stars. I saw red. I felt colors the same way some people felt sparks.”
The story is almost like a second chance romance but not quite because Dean and Jasmine didn’t quite make it into a relationship the first time.
Dean is Jasmine’s best friend’s brother who she has always had a thing for. But now that Dean has returned to Texas, Jasmine realises that her feelings for him haven’t diminished over the years.
Jasmine’s character has me giggling and laughing out loud in some spots. Some of her thoughts were so funny! “...bacon is like sex in food form; even if you regret it later, it’s so damn delicious at the time that you just don’t care how you’ll feel later.”
And then Dean has me swooning nearly throughout the entire book! He is such a gorgeous character and tried so hard to get Jasmine to break down her walls that she built around her heart. Their story was truly beautiful and I loved every page!
“Six years ago, you captured my heart. Six months ago, you captured my soul. I’m not me without you.”
