Unchained is the first paranormal book that I’ve read by Helen Hardt and she has gotten me hooked! 

Unchained is the first volume of her Blood Bond saga and includes the first three books. It tells the story of Dante Gabriel and Erin Hamilton. 

Dante was captured when he was eighteen and has finally escaped after ten long years. Being a vampire, his craving for blood has never been stronger and runs to the first source he can which is a blood bank in a hospital. There he encounters Erin Hamilton, an ER nurse, for the first time and is absolutely captivated by her.

Erin Hamilton loves her job as an ER nurse. When she goes to retrieve some units of blood and finds a man vandalising it she doesn’t know what to think. And even weirder is she doesn’t want to report the man, she feels an unnatural need to help him. 

Over the course of the three books in this volume, many odd things happen to each of the characters that has you scratching your head and desperately reading for more.

I can’t wait to dive into the next volume to learn what happens next!
