Blog Tour for RUIN (Slay #2) by Laurelin Paige!

RUIN (Slay #2) by Laurelin Paige Release Date: October 29th

Blurb: With her heart literally in his hands, Celia will have to try and bargain with a devil.
Edward Fasbender is my captor.
Trapped on this island he owns everything on--including, it seems, me.
He told me he would break me, but I thought he meant in the bedroom. It turns out Edward is playing a completely different game.
And he won't stop until he's ruined me.
Slay Two: Ruin is the second book in the Slay Quartet. Slay One: Rivalry should be read first.

Excerpt: Yes, she was calculating and manipulative, and she was very spoiled about getting her way, but that was all surface. She was an onion. There were layers and layers underneath, parts of her that she held away. Parts she showed no one. For whatever reason, I’d caught sight of what she kept hidden, whether she’d meant for that to happen or not, I couldn’t be sure. Regardless, I was captivated. There was so much to see there, so much to take down. So much of her to know and own and destroy and redesign, and like an old habit, I couldn’t break away.
She was an addiction, and I wanted to feed on it. She wasn’t supposed to be like that.
She wasn’t supposed to want to bend to my whims. She wasn’t supposed to open up and give what I asked for. She wasn’t supposed to be so eager to take what I gave her. She certainly wasn’t supposed to see past my own curtain, wasn’t supposed to ask to see more.
I’m here for this, she’d said.

Edward Fasbender and Celia Werner both know how to manipulate people and circumstances to suit themselves, they know the game, they play to win and take no prisoners. The question is who will win?

Having read the first book, in which I found that I wasn’t initially drawn to either characters, I was intrigued to see where Ms. Paige took us in Ruin.

Ruin gives us a deeper insight into Edward and his actions as the relationship between Edward and Celia develops. It is an intense, emotional and gripping story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The chemistry between Edward and Celia was intense as the Dom/sub relationship develops. I loved how Laurelin Paige drew us in with the story she wove.
Questions will be answered and more will be raised, as Celia and Edward delve deeper into their relationship.

This book is like an onion with layers to be peeled away one by one.

A roller coaster of a read that is a fast paced story that will draw you in and keep you riveted from the first to the last chapter. Cannot wait for more.

Laurelin Paige is a master of games in this Slay Quartet series. The games that Edward and Celia are playing with each other have only gotten more complicated and complex in book 2, Slay: Ruin!  You must read book one, Slay: Rivalry first to truly appreciate the dynamics and history between Edward and Celia.
This story is like watching a chess game where the power struggle between Edward and Celia are the pieces on the board. Those pieces are constantly moving and shifting and the only control comes from the person making the next move and that move can completely alter all the options for the next player.
Edward is pushing all of Celia’s buttons at he manipulates her and hold her hostage. But his game is not quite going as he planned and even though he may think he is in the drivers seat, it doesn’t necessarily mean he is in control.
Celia has no way to leave the island and her emotions are all over the place. She has gone from extreme anger at Edward for leaving her to a curiosity about what he is up to and jealousy wondering if he is with someone else. Trust is earned and in order to have that trust Edward has forced her honesty not just with him, but he wants her to be honest with herself and with only time on her hands to think, she is seeing and understanding more about herself than she ever thought possible. What she is learning is surprising not only herself but Edward. She isn’t reacting to any of his games the way he planned and it is completely messing up the endgame that he was trying to manipulate. What also surprises Edward is that as he breaks down her walls, his are also falling and that changes everything again! I can’t wait to see how this all plays out!
So wait, there is still more of their story coming in book three! Hold on tight this is going to be a hell of a ride!

About the Author With millions of books sold worldwide, Laurelin Paige is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author. She is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however.
When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones or Letterkenny, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio.
She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.
