I know this is hard to believe, but this is the first book I have read by RC Stephens. Although book three in the series, it can be read as a stand alone although you may get more enjoyment if you read the previous books.

Dirty Swedish Player is book 3 in the Big Stick Series but I believe it can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone because each book is about a different player and this is Nils and Sierra’s story.

Nils and Sierra have a very complicated history he was enlisted to help her settle in at her new college but that didn’t really go to plan and their friendship turned sour. Now a few years later Nils needs help his NHL team have insisted he cleans up his act and stops partying and spending nights with puck bunnies in fact they go as far as to advise him to get a girlfriend .... yes you guessed it when Sierra unexpectedly walks back into his life he asks her to be the one to help him save his career by being his fake girlfriend...... but will Sierra help the man she has secretly crushed on for many years especially as the last time they spent time together it went horribly wrong.

This story will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat , it’s about a couple learning from their past mistakes as they open up and go back to basics and really get to know each other. They weren’t supposed fall for each other, feeling were not meant to come into play but when you spend time pretending to be a couple sometimes the inevitable happens and what starts off as fake turns into reality. A book with all feels that ticked all my boxes and I’m looking forward to reading more in the Big Stick Series.

Dirty Swedish Player is a combination of a hockey romance, step-brother and a fake relationship romance. It is the first book by R.C. Stephens that I have read and I did enjoy it.
Nils and Sierra have history of faking a relationship that didn’t turn out well for either of them. Now they are older and circumstances are forcing them to try again. Nils has made quite a few mistakes in his personal life but after a big public image disaster he is forced by his hockey team owners to fix it. Luck may finally be on his side because Sierra is back in his life again and the perfect person to help him. He just has to convince her to take a chance on him, again, but can she trust him this time around? A mutually beneficial deal is made, but what neither of them saw coming was the chemistry between them and the feelings they would have for each other.
