Birdy was the first book that I’ve read by Dee Garcia and it was definitely a wild ride.

Birdy is the story of Benita “Benni” Andrea Villanueva, who is Queen-Pin or La Jefa in Miami, Florida. She is part of the Upper Echelon that help run drugs through the city.

She’s mixed up with the head of the Upper Echelon, Angel, and is having trouble seeing past his hot looks and tattoos.

When something happens and she’s sent to prison, she knows that she never wants to Angel again.

What she doesn’t expect is to find a new love interest while in prison.

This book was unique and had you guessing all the way through. It was definitely a new take on a romance that I’ve never read before.

I’m definitely interested to find out what happens in book 2.
