The drama, the family tension, the beautiful friendships ans suspense all made this an incredible book that should be high on your list to read!
Easy may be easy on the eyes but since he gets a call to go home to look after his Mom and Aunt, he doesn’t count on how after the many years that have passed to see Allie again and the feelings that have remained dorment, bubble to the surface! Erik is a caring man with a heart of gold! Allie has done her absolute best at caring for the 3 kids! Little does she know that Erik is determined and not wanting to let things go and is also there to support her in difficult times too!
This storyline had me captivated from the beginning and I honestly didn’t want it to end!
An absolutely amazing addition to one of the best hockey series written!

Second chance romance at its best and once you add it a great hockey storyline you get the perfect read for all lovers of romance in general as well as sports romance lovers.
Erik and Allie broke up when Allie graduated high school but what Erik never knew was she was doing what she thought was best for him, she loved him enough to let him go, to let him follow his career in the NHL without having her and her family commitments. Erik is forced back to his hometown when his mum and aunt both need help do to an accident and as soon as he comes face to face with Allie he realises what he left behind, he realises he still has feelings for his childhood sweetheart.....
Allie is now raising her sisters 3 children and life hasn’t been easy so will she be prepared to take a leap of faith and see where fate is going to take her or will she still believe Erik is better off without her and the children she loves so dearly....
I loved everything about this book, I loved Erik and Allie, I loved the kids and their teenage tantrums, I loved Erik’s small family unit but most importantly I loved the feels this book gave me. This is a beautifully written love story that I highly recommend. Great job Ms Rothert.

The sixth book in the Chicago Blaze series and is the second change at love story story of defender Erik Zimmerman aka Easy and the woman he has always been in love with Allie Douglas. It most definitely can be read as a stand alone and it is not necessary to have read the previous books. However, do yourselves a favour if you haven’t read them yet and one click, they are a brilliant read and one of my favourite hockey series ever.
Easy is so swoon worthy, his strength and determination and his unwavering love for Allie was beautiful to read about and I was riveted from the first to the last page. Allie’s selflessness in giving up the man she loves to raise her nieces and nephew was inspiring.
Brenda Rothert has written a story that you cannot help but become invested in. There were times I laughed and times I cried and on a few occasions I was on the edge of my seat fearing for what was playing out and hoping that all would come good in the end. However throughout it all there was such a feeling of love, hope, strength and determination that I was cheering for these two wonderful people to get the love and family that they both deserve.
This is at times an emotional roller coaster of a read as Easy and Allie fight for their happily ever after and as always it was great to see the appearance of some familiar faces, it just adds that additional layer to what was truly a wonderful book to read.
I am excited for the next book in the series which is Jonah’s story.
