This is the fourth book in Meghan Quinn’s latest series and I was thrilled to be back in Port Snow, Maine. This was a fabulous story and I was engrossed from the first to the last page. I loved the idea of a pen pal based story line; probably because my pen friend and I first met over 50 years ago and remain close friends today.
I fell hard and fast for Brig Knightly, he is totally swoon worthy, charismatic and a man who ticked all the boxes for me. I loved that he was all in with the idea of having a pen pal and then when all was going well, he suddenly finds himself drawn to Ruth Barber, a sassy, feisty independent woman who was a great character. Torn between two women, what will happen when the truth is revealed?
Meghan Quinn has given us another fun, entertaining story that had me laughing out loud as well as in tears. The chemistry between Brig and Ruth was scorching and intense. I loved the camaraderie between Brig and his family, in fact I would love to be a part of the Port Snow community. There is something about stories set in small towns that I cannot help but love.
I think that this may have edged out the other books to become my favourite of the series. Brig and Ruth belong together and I was cheering them on to get their happily ever after.
