Sugarloaf Ridge Secrets is the latest release by Jennifer Ryder and oh my did this book have me experiencing all the feels!
This book set in the outback of New South Wales, Australia is such a beautiful read from start to finish. Set in the little town of Sugarloaf Ridge, Daynah Walsh is on a mission to break the story of “The Bakery Boy” but finds herself slowly falling in love with the little town that she’s been sent to on a three month contract and maybe also a certain rancher.
When Daynah arrives in Sugarloaf she’s met with warmth and friendliness that she’s not used to coming from Sydney. While she learns the ropes of the small town’s magazine/newspaper she starts digging into the town’s secret that put it on the map about 25 years ago. But no one is willing to divulge any details.
As she learns more and more about the town, she starts to get know Finn a bit more and finds herself slowly developing feelings for him. She’s conflicted by the events of her past and when an even bigger secret is revealed she finds herself feeling even more lost. Finn is there to help support her through it all though and Daynah finds herself clinging to him more and more.
More than once, I found myself crying tears into my pillow late at night reading this absolutely beautiful book. I can’t recommend reading this book enough!
