Lexi could feel Caleb’s breath on her lips, and his bunched muscles under her palm were hot and hard. She stared at his mouth. He stared at hers. And she decided that if he wasn’t going to look at her breasts, looking at her mouth like he was starving and she was a grilled BLT—his favorite food in the world—was just fine with her. Having read a couple of books in this series I couldn’t wait to see what Erin Nicholas had in store for Caleb and Lexi. Oh what a little gem Nice and Easy is; I was totally hooked from the first to the last page.
Both Caleb and Lexi are members of a New Orleans Single Parent support group and they soon realized that they could depend on one another to help out with their respective children. Caleb is raising his niece after the tragic death of her parents in an accident, whilst Lexi is a young single mum.
I loved the characters of Caleb and Lexi and I particularly enjoyed how much Caleb wanted to give to Lexi. Such a caring and swoon worthy man who ticks all the boxes. I also loved the camaraderie and friendships between the members of the support group and their families, so heart warming.
This is a fun, romantic, sweet, steamy, and at times emotional story that tugged at my heart strings. Erin Nicholas had me both laughing and crying in this emotional story.
The love that Caleb and Lexi share was beautiful to read about and I was so happy to finally get to read their story.
Ms. Nicholas writes stories that draw me in and get me invested with her characters right from the start. If you haven’t read any of the other books in this series, do yourselves a favour and one click when you can..
Nice and Easy is simply a WOW! It is a sweet friends to lovers book that you have to take a chance on! This story is a bundle of sweet heartfelt moments as well as funny ones as Caleb and Lexi, two single parents each raising their own children as well as helping raise the others finally realize that there is so much more between them.
Erin Nicholas has written wonderful characters within a series based on single parenting and the challenges they face while bringing up children. There are so many different reasons that these characters have found themselves in these positions, but by supporting each other they have made life easier in so many ways.
