I literally could not put this book down and read it in one day.
Izzy Abandonato’s story takes you on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride. Her story with the Sinacore-Petrov heir, Maksim had me in tears more than once. This book literally ripped the heart out of my chest and put it back together.
Maksim has so much to live up to as Andrei’s son and with his smarts even more so. He’s always been the least violent of the mafia kids so when an opportunity comes up to prove himself, he takes it.
The problem? His love for the Abandonato princess, Izzy. He and Izzy were inseparable growing up. Now, it’s become hard as the parents and OG members of Eagle Elite have cracked down on relationships between their kids.
After making a difficult decision, Maks distances himself from Izzy and in the process breaks her heart. Now, Maks is all about protecting Izzy at all costs, even his happiness.
As always, the banter between the kids and the group chats had me laughing out loud. The dynamic between all the characters is phenomenal and brilliantly written. Even though this may not be the typical mafia romance we’re used to seeing from RVD it is by no means any less amazing.
If it’s not abundantly clear by now, I HIGHLY recommend this book and this entire series!

An outstanding, riveting, compelling story that will hook your attention. It is without a doubt, totally unexpected, especially the way the storyline goes.
Im honestly lost for words, to be quite honest.
I wholeheartedly applaud the Author on her sheer brilliance of tempting words, witty banter and heartfelt moments among intriguing, interesting characters.
Maksim and Izzy, I don’t know where to begin. I was completely captivated from the start.
There is so much to love about the story that has twists you won’t understand or believe but in the end, the love trumps everything!
This story has to be read for yourself to understand the feelings the words will evoke. The myriad of emotions made this an epic mafia romance and an amazing addition to the series. Well flipping done!
