Quinn
Quinn
I’d say I’m down on my luck, but that’s an understatement. I’m flat on my ass. Homeless, hungry and in hiding with my little sister at the age of twenty-one, I’ve never been so desperate. I’ve hit rock bottom when I get an offer I can’t refuse. Sell my body to save my sister? There’s nothing I won’t do to keep her safe. I make the rules and I’m not afraid to defend myself if this rich guy crosses the line. But once I see beneath his cold, calculating façade, the lines aren’t so clear anymore.
Andrew
She’s an intoxicating mix of tough and vulnerable I’ve never known before. This homeless woman who fits right into my upper-class world is running from someone powerful, and I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. But Quinn isn’t meant to be controlled, so I’m forced to choose between owning her and loving her. I’ve finally met my match, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make her truly mine.
5 Star Review
I'm not sure where to begin, this book blew me away.
Quinn is living on the streets trying to protect her sister, when a knight in shining armour gives her a chance to give her and her sister a new start in life. Put the past behind them and stop the running. Will she trust enough to tell him her secrets and will he trust enough to tell her his secrets.
Secrets that made him the man he is,a man not looking for love. Secrets that had her running and not wanting love.
I loved Quinn and Alex for many reasons but mainly because of their compassion for others and the author did a brilliant job getting that across in the book. I love watching these characters grow, I loved watching them learning to trust, I loved the hot sex and this book had to be read in one sitting, there was no way I could put it down, I had to know did they get what they both deserved, true love.
This book has it all a mix of sweetness, suspense and angst. At times it was funny and at times it was heartbreaking. Well Done Brenda Rothert
4.5 stars
Millionaire Andrew Wentworth doesn't do intimacy. So he asks his assistant to find women to meet his needs and the assistant bring Andrew the homeless Quinn. Quinn has left her home in an effort to protect her younger sister from something bad. When Andrew meets Quinn he knows there is more to her than meets the eye. Andrew offers her $10,000 a month for the next six months. Quinn knows this is the break that she and her sister desperately need.
I enjoyed this book for the slow burn and the mystery surrounding both Andrew and Quinn. These characters were mature in their actions and there was no indecision on their actions. I can appreciate that. I respected the way the author wove a love story into the underlying plot instead of the other way around. The end came a little too soon for me. Don't necessary know that this is a bad thing it definitively means I was attached to the characters. Definately worth the read!
