Blog Tour & Reviews by Jackie, Alicia & Robin: El Diablo by M Robinson

BLOG TOUR September 6th-20th

I was ruthless.
I was feared.
I had sacrificed. Myself. Her. Everything...
Living in a world where I was worth more dead than alive was a choice. I was a bad man, never claimed to be anything else. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. Seen things that can’t be unseen. I’ve caused pain that I can’t undo.
It was all my choice.
Every decision.
Every order.
Right and wrong never mattered.
Until her.
She was under my protection, until she became my obsession.
But who was going to save her...
From. Me. The devil himself.

Fate brought us together. Destiny destroyed us.

“Go stretch again, cariƱo,” I ordered in a dominant tone. Nodding to the barre.
“I’m fine,” she stubbornly replied. Shaking her legs and arms out. Getting back into position, looking at me through the mirror.
I cocked my head to the side, arching an eyebrow. She narrowed her eyes at me, but begrudgingly listened. I pressed play, allowing the melody to once again take over. She placed her leg on the lowest barre, making her ass stick out in my direction.
Tempting me.
She closed her eyes, needing to get lost in the music, wanting to push away all the negative thoughts, already feeling discouraged. I stood, taking off my suit jacket. Rolling up the sleeves of my collared shirt as I stepped onto the hardwood floor. I slowly came up behind her, catching her off guard.
She froze, turning around, opening her eyes. Peering up at me through her lashes. “What are you doing?”
I leaned forward against her ear, grinning. “I’m helping you stretch.” Getting down on my knees in front of her.
Her eyes dilated. The feeling of disappointment replaced with nothing but lust. She placed her arms out to the side, resting up against the barre, supporting her weight. I grabbed her ankle, lifting it up in the air, rubbing along her leg as it was fully stretched, before setting it on the lowest barre. Running my other hand up her side, easing her over toward the extended leg. She understood what I was doing, reaching for her ankle, stretching. Standing back up, bringing her arms above her head, I caressed along her leg again, casually turning her torso so her leg was still placed on the barre behind her.
Her breathing hitched as I touched her all over her lower body. My lips softly kissing the inside of her thigh to where she wanted my mouth the most.

This was the story I have been waiting for.  I was so excited to read the book about El Diablo, the devil and I have to say this book blew me away .....
How did Alejandro Eduardo Martinez become that man, this book tells you how and why he became the devil. He runs a worldwide mob empire, the law bends for him and men fear him but there is one woman who can see through the bad, but she will be his weakness as well as his salvation.
Lexi has a hard life right from childhood and Alejandro wants to protect her but is it protection from life or protection from him that she needs??
This book has so many secrets and Alejandro is a man you want to hate, but even though you hate his lifestyle, it's hard to hate the man. This story will keep you guessing right to the last chapter and even though The Good O'l Boys come into the book, it can most definitely be read as a standalone.
Fantastic read from M.Robinson.

This is an AWESOME book!!  It had me in it’s grip from the first paragraph.  I wasn’t even half way thru the book, and I knew it was definitely a 5 star book.  I love that it ties into the previous series without telling what the plot is.
There were heart wrenching scenes in the book where I just wanted to weep with them.  There was drama, and action, and lots of steamy sex!  And twists…… just when you think you’re headed in the right direction, there is a sharp twist in the plot.  But trust me she leaves no questions unanswered; she addresses them all. Everything a character does has a reason.

This book has so many twists that you will not see coming at all. I didn't cry as much as I did with the other book I read.

You will not hate Alejandro "El Diablo" Martinez because he will have a spell on you!  He actually ends up making you feel bad for him!! What does that say about me? Your heart is going to break several times for both Alejandro and Lexi!

You’ll experience all the emotions, adrenaline, fear, rage, pain… you’ll be afraid of what might happen next, and you won’t be able to stop reading!  The book has the perfect epilogue.

Are you ready to meet El Diablo?

'They' say the devil you know is always better than the one you don't. Well, what happens when the devil is too hard to get to know? Alex Martinez was groomed by his father to take over the family business and after a tremendous and catastrophic turn of events, Alex surpasses even the power his father held.   There is a famous saying that goes something like this: 'dawn creeps in on little cat feet.'   This saying reminds me of Lexi, the ballerina who comes to Alex in a time of need and just wants to see what ignited the fire in the devil.  Lexi is a ballerina and she is soft and light but a force to be reckoned with.  Like the dawn is to the night.  To me that is Alex and Lexi.

This is a spinoff of the Good Old Boys series by M. Robinson.  It is a stand alone but man, it is good to read Crave Me by the same author either before or after, preferably before but it is by no means mandatory for the story line.  This novel is written by the Queen of Angst and she wields a mighty sword.  I would rate this pretty high on the angst meter.  I didn't cry but my heart clenched and that is pretty darn tough to do.   My warning to you is do not throw your kindle and do not give up on the story (I don't think that is possible) - trust this writer with your heart and you will be well rewarded.
