I am absolutely loving the Steels at Silver Island series by Melissa Foster.

This book is my introduction to the author and it was a very slow burn story. I did This book is my introduction to the author and it was a very slow burn story. I did have to put it down and pick it up again intermittently but I genuinely liked both Noah and Grace. It was almost like watching one of those home renovation shows you see on the tv, it played out like that in my head! It was a good story just a bit slow to hold my attention. There were some moments that made me laugh and I honestly was hoping for Grace and Noah to have their hea. I really enjoyed the way their friendship progressed and loved the ending. have to put it down and pick it up again intermittently but I genuinely liked both Noah and Grace.

 It was almost like watching one of those home renovation shows you see on the tv, it played out like that in my head!

Grab Your Copy Here! Mr Park Lane is an entertaining easy to read book that I couldn’t put down. It was rather a refreshing story and I loved the way Hartford and Joshua were. Having known each other since they were kids, Hartford has had a crush on Joshua, her brothers best friend. Time has certainly passed and when Hartford returns home to rest after an injury, their mothers thought it would be best for her to live with Joshua. What eventuates is a beautiful friendship, easy conversation, flirtatious banter from Joshua, which was kinda endearing and some really heartfelt moments too. I thoroughly immersed myself in this book and loved Joshuas friends and how they welcomed Hartford.  I also rather loved the way Joshua sees Hartford, how he inspires her to relax and come out of her shell, so to speak. He was incredibly charming and caring.  I admired Hartfords work ethic and her desire to do her utmost to please those around her. This was a wonderful feel good story and a book I would recommend. Mr Park Lane is the latest book written by Louise Bay and one that I thoroughly loved reading! The characters in this book were so intriguing and unique that I couldn’t wait to read what happened next.  Joshua Luca is an extremely successful entrepreneur that runs a luxury brand marketing firm. When one of his top clients tells him that they are taking their company in a new direction and they still want him to pitch for it even though it’s for a pharmaceutical company and not luxury goods.  When Josh’s mother tells him that he needs to pick up a friend from the airport and help her while she’s recovering he wasn’t expecting Hartford, a girl her remembers from growing up, to be a beautiful woman and a successful doctor.  Hartford is an amazing character and I absolutely loved her passion. Even though the new job she has pushes her well outside of her comfort zone, and let’s not forget living next to her childhood crush, she perseveres and takes it on as a challenge that she needs to overcome. She’s a hard worker and I definitely enjoyed reading her story.  Both characters come a long way throughout this book. They both find themselves seeing their lives in a completely different way.  I cannot recommend this book enough! Excerpt:

I knock again, and after a moment the door opens, and I almost swallow my tongue. Nat is standing there in all his warm, sleepy glory. His olive skin flushed, his wild dark curls rioting all over the place and wearing nothing but a very… very thin pair of sleeping shorts. I swallow slowly, my mouth is actually watering, and I almost reach up to see if I’m drooling.

      Just friends…. Just friends… I chant silently.

He blinks slowly, as if he isn’t quite awake enough to focus.

‘Beck?’ he murmurs, and his voice, hoarse from sleep, shoots straight to my balls. He blinks again in confusion. ‘Am I having that dream again?’ he wonders aloud. ‘If I am, where’s your moustache, and why aren’t you fixing the plumbing?’

I snort out loud, and it breaks the tension.

His head tilts as he studies me. ‘What are you doing here?’ He glances back into his room, presumably to look at a clock and scowls. ‘At five thirty in the morning?’

‘The break is perfect this morning, so I thought we could catch some waves.’ I smile.

‘At five thirty in the morning?’ he repeats slowly, and I nod. ‘Are you fucking kidding me?’ he says dryly.

‘Nope,’ I pop my lips on the word and grin again.

‘Urgh,’ he grunts in disgust and turns back into the room.

I reach out and slap my hand against the door before it slams in my face and follow him in curiously. He crosses the room and crawls back into bed, flopping down on his stomach like a starfish with his face buried in the pillows and gifting me with a gorgeous view of his round peachy arse.

‘Go away and come back at a more civilized hour,’ he mumbles incoherently into the pillow.

‘Come on, Nat.’ I smile widely as I throw the curtains open and let in the pale rays of dawn.

He grunts again as he grabs a pillow and shoves it over his head.

‘Besides,’ I say brightly. ‘The farmers market is on at the Killacourt, and we need to source some new suppliers for the restaurant.’

‘Then come back and get me in four hours,’ comes the muffled reply from beneath the pillow.

I cross the room slowly, unable to hide how much he delights me, even all sleepy and grumpy. I drop down on my haunches beside the bed.

‘I’ll buy you a coffee,’ I croon in a low teasing voice.

For a moment there’s silence, then the pillow shifts, and his face slowly peeks out, locking those starling baby blues on me, which are framed with sooty black lashes. I’ve never seen him unshaven, but now he has a sexy dark stubble gracing his jaw that I’d love to trace the pads of my fingers over before brushing those soft, bee stung lips.

‘What sort of coffee?’ He pouts in reluctant interest.

‘Only the best for you, Nat.’ I smile slowly. ‘Hand roasted, freshly ground and as dark and bitter as the pits of hell.’

Vawn Cassidy is a new author to me I am impressed as this is her first m/m debut..

Solid characters that had a lot to say, both have  interesting backgrounds extremely different from each other.

Nat and Beck knew from the first touch that they were fated to be together, no matter how much they denied it, emotions and passion will always win.

The  beginning of their journey was unusual how they went onwards is very intriguing.

This story takes place in Cornwall England, it’s a wonderful place, sand, surf and sun.

Chapter 2: Kingston Sabiano

It was a pleasant change of pace to not dissolve into instant bickering, so I enjoyed the silence as we drifted in our separate thoughts. It lasted longer than I had expected before he asked me, “How long have you been planning this?”

Rather than telling the truth, I kept my answer playful. “Your arguments with reporters at press conferences give me a lot of time to think about other stuff I’d rather be doing.”

“Like me?” He scoffed at the notion. “You can’t be serious.”

I couldn’t resist teasing him a little. “Our fighting wasn’t foreplay for you?”

He turned his head to stare at me. “Seriously?”

I gave him my best attempt at an innocent expression. “What? Our banter really gets me going.”

Covering his face to hide the grin he couldn’t quite smother, he laughed hard. For once, it wasn’t bitter or haughty, but a sound of genuine amusement that warmed my heart. “Is that why you antagonize me?”

“Yes, and I’m very offended it took two years to get you to translate that into ‘please fuck me stupid,’” I said with mock upset. My peals of laughter ruined the effect, though. “How much more obvious could I be that I desired you?”

“Why?”

I reached out to caress his cheek with my clean hand as I gave him a sincere look. “Because all I have ever wanted these past five years was to be yours.”

“Five years? We’ve only been competing for two.”

“Yes, because it took me three years to become good enough to stand on the same stage as you.” I opened my heart up to him, hoping like hell he didn’t reject me for it. “I’ve been chasing after you since you trounced Terrence Rayston in your debut match.”

It was the first time I had ever stunned him into silence. Swallowing hard, he eventually said, “I don’t understand.”

“The media dubbed you the Iceman because of your icy blue eyes, the way you ruthlessly defeated every opponent, and your cold and aloof demeanor.” I stroked the outline of his strong jaw, amazed he hadn’t rejected me yet. “It confused me how so many people got you so wrong.”

“What do you mean?”

“You’re not ice—you’re fire.” I took a deep breath to steady my nerves. “I didn’t understand how none of them could see that you burn with a need to be the best and always win. You torched all your opponents to ashes with every triumph. It took me years to become good enough to feel your heat as I faced off against you.”

When he said nothing, I hesitated before I continued confessing. “If I didn’t beat you, you’d never notice me. That meant I had to be better than the best, because that was the only way to make you focus all your fire on me. I’m the only one who can withstand your flames. To make you see that, I had to drive you wild by being unbeatable. I want you to only burn for me.”

A short read but packing a punch.

Kingston Sabatino and Knightly Neilson tennis players, Knightly was always “ the best “ but Kingston proves his worth to his opponent.

As they battle on the court their hearts battle off the court.

Both men are hugely competitive, in and off the court.

Can hate turn to love? 

Can rage turn into a hunger, a hunger of perhaps not hate at all?

It’s very interesting to see how this story went.

Their chemistry is off the charts.

Their score = Deuce ..( tied )
